Located In the south of Wales, right in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. A group of brave Pest Controllers went on a grand adventure. They embarked on a long and laborious trek over giant rocks, winding rivers and cascading waterfalls that fell before them.
However, in reality, we were jumping off giant rocks, swimming in freezing cold rivers and climbing up and under waterfalls. Safe to say, the 4th edition of Adventure Networking doing Gorge Walking was an amazing experience that we won’t be forgetting in a hurry.
We took 16 Pest Controllers, including some competition winners on this edition of Adventure Networking. If you don’t know, Gorge Walking is exploring rivers and streams by jumping in and climbing over them. Our route took us climbing steep rocky sections, sliding down smooth slopes, jumping into big deep pools and even trying to crawl through tight cave tunnels.
The key highlights of our day had to be doing all of the big jumps. There were four in total, all increasing in height. The final jump, however, was the highest at 30ft, jumping off a ledge in an old quarry. Safe to say, it was the jump that had the least amount of people jumping off. The reward for all of this jumping and climbing was a lovely meal in the warmth of a cosy pub.
Networking with a difference – Supporting Pest Controllers in their everyday roles, our high-octane and adrenaline filled Adventure Networking events are designed exclusively for the Lodi UK customer base. A place to meet and network, share ideas and discuss best practices, whilst having some fun along the way!
The next edition of Adventure Networking will keep up with this adrenaline going with another high-octane activity coming early next year, so keep those eyes peeled for the email.
