With Lodi UK’s advanced insect control solutions, you can detect, target and eliminate infestations effectively, ensuring your farm remains productive and pest-free.
Monitoring & Identification: Organ-X Fly Trap and Digrain Fly Reel Kit
Before tackling an insect problem, it’s essential to determine its severity, and the Organ-X Fly Trap XL is the ideal first step. This eco-friendly, non-toxic trap attracts and captures flies, making it safe to use around livestock, equine and people. Its durable, reusable design ensures long-term use with refillable attractants, and it’s super easy to set up and maintain.
We also offer the Digrain Fly Reel Kit, a non-toxic and environmentally friendly solution to fly infestations, proven to be a successful method of fast-catch control throughout the farm and suitable for use in animal housing. Eliminate nuisance flies with the Glue Roll and 400m replacement reel (sold separately), using sex pheromones to fatally attract all fly species. Monitoring fly activity is essential to identify the species causing the infestation, ensuring that the most appropriate active is used in the most appropriate location. In some cases, Environmental Health Officers (EHO’s) may require evidence of monitoring. Keeping a record of numbers and locations will help build a history for future reference. A Digrain Fly Glue Roll can be labelled with the date, cling wrapped and kept as evidence.
Larvicides: Larvenol and Maggots
Once a problem has been identified, it’s vital to tackle flies at their source. Larvicides manage fly larvae (80% of life cycle) in breeding areas such as manure heaps, slurry pits, livestock housing and straw bedding areas. If fly numbers in animal housing are increasing, farmer favourites such as Larvenol and Maggots are essential to interrupt the fly life cycle growth and development stages.
Larvenol, Lodi UK’s premium larvicide targets & kills maggots and larvae in breeding sites preventing them from maturing into adult flies. An innovative insect growth regulator, the S-methoprene active can be applied directly to the muck as granules. Effective up to 8 weeks depending on use and the level of infestation, for use in poultry & livestock housing, calf/animal rearing and under straw bedding. By incorporating Larvenol into your pest management plan, you can significantly reduce fly populations and prevent future infestations.
Alternatively, use Maggots granular larvicide, our professional fly larvae control for the intensive pig, poultry & livestock farmer and waste management sites. Containing the growth regulator Cyromazine is easy to use granules, which can be dry scattered on slurry or sprayed after dilution in water. Results can be seen in approximately 2 weeks from first application.
Adulticides: Twenty One and Sheila
Eliminate migrating flies and those already present using baits, sprays, wettable powders and fogging liquids. Knockdown Adulticides (Dairy Fly Spray, Phobi F&F+, Digrain Control) all of which kill flies on contact. Residual Adulticides (Twenty One, Sheila, Perbio Choc RTU) leave surface residues for longer term control. Adulticides kill adult flies (20% of life cycle).
Twenty One* is the perfect solution. This powerful insecticide spray provides rapid knockdown of adult flies, offering immediate results. Its residual control ensures extended protection, reducing the need for frequent applications, and its broad-spectrum efficacy makes it effective against a wide range of flying and crawling insects.
Meet Sheila* our ready to use granular insecticide; toxic, attractive and deadly. Use wherever flies congregate. Sheila contains unique sex pheromones and attractants that lure flies to the bait, before killing them almost instantly. Flies love the colour of Sheila, which works as an attractant. When used alongside detection tools like the Organ-X Fly Trap and larvicides, our Adulticides complete a comprehensive on-farm insect control strategy.
*Alternating between insecticide treatments every few months where possible, prevents flies using natural defences to overcome active ingredients and reduces resistance. Each active ingredient and formulation has specific instructions regarding suitable usage areas, spaces and surfaces. Always read the label & follow product instructions closely to ensure effective and safe product application. K-Obiol: Premium Grain Protector
With unrivalled efficacy against the most common insect pests, K-Obiol™ will provide the highest level of protection for grain store facilities and valuable stored grain. Proven to be highly effective, K-Obiol™ is available in two formulations, EC25 and ULV. Both provide preventative and curative protection against stored product insects and will prevent damage for up to 12 months.
K-Obiol™ is approved for use on all cereal grains including wheat, barley, maize, rice, oats and triticale and is accepted for use by the Brewing Research International (BRI), the National Association of British and Irish Millers (NABIM) and the Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops (TASCC).
When applied at its recommended rate, the residue level of K-Obiol™ is four times lower than the Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) for grain (0.25mg/kg). K-Obiol™ is a low odour formulation that has no effect on seed germination; and, as it has no withholding period, any grain treated with the product can be processed straight away.
